ABOUT THE ARTIST
Chloe Renee is a painter and printmaker based in Denton, Texas. She is currently pursuing a BFA in Studio Art: Painting and Drawing at the University of North Texas. Her work has been featured around North Texas from University gallery to intimate curated exhibitions. Her work explores themes of nostalgia tied to Southern spaces, feminine identity, and the shared experiences that emerge from these intersections. Challenging traditional portraiture and still life, Chloe re-imagines these genres by merging figures, objects, and environments into layered compositions that blur the lines between observation and recollection. Drawing inspiration from personal family photographs, Chloe uses these intimate visuals as a foundation to tell her own story. Examining how identity is shaped by memory and generational storytelling. She incorporates them into multimedia works, blending memory, material, and meaning to explore themes of identity, heritage, and emotional continuity across generations. Her art invites viewers to consider their own connections to heritage, suggesting that while each story is personal, the emotions and experiences are mutual.
